Tickets now on sale for Qatar’s initial game in World Cup 2026 final qualifiers

Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) has officially announced the release of tickets for Qatar's inaugural match in the final qualifying phase for the FIFA World Cup 2026. 


In a statement shared on X, the QFA expressed eagerness for the fans to join them on the journey towards the 2026 final qualifiers, inviting supporters to Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium to ignite the thrill and fervor of the game. 


Scheduled to take place on September 5, 2024, at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, Qatar's national team, famously known as Al Annabi, will face off against the United Arab Emirates in an exciting showdown set to commence at 7 pm local time in Doha. The tickets can be purchased through the official QFA website.


The reigning Asian champions are placed in Group A alongside strong teams such as Iran, Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates, Kyrgyzstan, and North Korea.


Qatar's quest will kick off with a highly anticipated match against the UAE in Doha, followed by an away match against North Korea on September 10. Subsequent fixtures will see them host Kyrgyzstan on October 10 and then venture to Tehran to challenge Iran on October 15. Uzbekistan is set to visit Doha on November 14 for a face-off with Al Annabi, with Qatar gearing up for an away match against the UAE on November 19.


The national team will then welcome North Korea on March 20, 2025, before journeying to Kyrgyzstan for an away encounter on March 25. Qatar's qualifying campaign will culminate with a home game against Iran on June 5, followed by an intense away clash against Uzbekistan on June 10.


With the stakes high, the top two teams from the group will secure direct qualification to the prestigious World Cup 2026, slated to be co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States from June 11 to July 19, 2026. 


Football enthusiasts worldwide are eagerly anticipating the thrilling journey that lies ahead for Qatar's national team as they strive for a coveted spot in the upcoming World Cup.
