India's Neeraj Chopra secured a commendable second place in the Diamond League Final held on September 14 at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels.

In the men's javelin competition, Neeraj recorded a best throw of 87.86 meters, narrowly missing the top spot by just one centimetre to Anderson Peters, the bronze medallist from the Paris Olympics.

Peters' victory not only earned him the prestigious Diamond Trophy but also marked a significant comeback as he prepared for the 2024 season. Germany's Julian Weber followed in third place with a throw of 85.97 meters. Notably, Olympic champion Arshad Nadeem and last year's Diamond Trophy winner Jakub Vadleich were absent from the event.
