BCCI announces INR 125 crore prize for Team India after historic ICC T20 World Cup win

Doha, Qatar: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has rewarded the Indian cricket team handsomely following their historic victory in the Caribbean. Led by Rohit Sharma, Team India triumphed over South Africa in the final, clinching their long-awaited ICC title. The thrilling match in Barbados saw Virat Kohli’s masterful performance and stellar bowling from Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya, securing a narrow seven-run victory for India.


In recognition of their exceptional achievement, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah announced a prize money of INR 125 crores for the team. Shah commended the players, coaches, and support staff for their outstanding display of talent, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. “I am pleased to announce prize money of INR 125 crores for Team India for winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024,” Shah stated, celebrating the team's success on the grandest stage.
