Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi achieved a landmark victory in the Wayanad Lok Sabha bypoll, securing over 6,17,942 votes and defeating CPI(M) candidate Sathyan Mokeri by 2,09,906 votes. BJP's Navya Haridas trailed significantly, garnering 1,09,202 votes. Priyanka's victory margin of over 3.6 lakh votes surpassed her brother Rahul Gandhi’s record from the previous election, solidifying Congress's stronghold in the constituency.

In a heartfelt message on X (formerly Twitter), Priyanka expressed her gratitude to the people of Wayanad, calling the win "their victory." She assured her constituents of her commitment to representing their hopes and dreams in Parliament. "I will make sure you truly feel this victory is yours and fight for you as one of your own," she said.

Priyanka also thanked her United Democratic Front (UDF) colleagues, workers, and volunteers for their relentless efforts. Reflecting on the campaign, she highlighted their dedication during grueling 12-hour car journeys without rest or food, praising them for upholding Congress's ideals.

Acknowledging her family’s unwavering support, Priyanka credited her mother, husband Robert, children Raihan and Miraya, and brother Rahul Gandhi. She described Rahul as "the bravest of them all" for inspiring and guiding her throughout the campaign. This win marks a significant milestone for Priyanka as a Parliamentarian and for the Congress party in Kerala.
