Five Russian mountaineers have died after slipping and falling on Mount Dhaulagiri, the world's seventh-highest peak, during the autumn climbing season in Nepal.

The climbers, who had been reported missing since Sunday, were ascending the 8,167-meter (26,788-foot) mountain when the accident occurred. A rescue helicopter located their bodies on Tuesday, bringing an end to the search efforts.
