South Korean writer Han Kang won Nobel Prize in Literature

The Nobel Prize in Literature has been awarded to South Korean author Han Kang, recognized by the Nobel committee for her "intense poetic prose" that delves into historical traumas and the delicate nature of human existence. 


The announcement was made by Mats Malm, the permanent secretary of the Swedish Academy's Nobel Committee, in Stockholm.

Han Kang has already made a significant mark in the literary world, winning the International Booker Prize in 2016 for her acclaimed novel 'The Vegetarian.' Additionally, her work 'Human Acts' was a finalist for the International Booker Prize in 2018, further showcasing her talent and the depth of her storytelling.
