Doha: Kannur United Welfare Association (KUWAQ) marked its 24th anniversary with a grand celebration at the Regency Hall, inaugurated by Indian Ambassador Vipul. The event was presided over by Kuwaq President Muhammad Noushad Abu, while General Secretary Rijin Palliyath delivered the vote of thanks. Prominent figures, including IBPC President Thaha Muhammed, Treasurer Anandajan, and founder member Bhuvanraj, graced the occasion.

The highlight of the celebration was an artistic evening titled Khalbile Kannur, which commenced with a traditional dance performance showcasing the rich heritage of Kannur. The event featured captivating musical performances by renowned artists, including Kannur Sherif, rising star Shweta Ashok, and Kuwaq’s talented singers Shivapriya Suresh and Riyaz Kariyad.

In addition to the vibrant musical showcase, Kuwaq organized a vocal workshop for aspiring singers in Doha, led by Sherif and Shweta Ashok, adding a learning dimension to the celebrations.

The four-hour-long event witnessed enthusiastic public participation and was celebrated as a resounding success, leaving attendees with cherished memories of music and camaraderie.
