FIFA President Gianni Infantino has commended Qatar for its exemplary organization of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup Qatar 2024 during the trophy presentation ceremony held at Lusail Stadium. Infantino's remarks followed Real Madrid's decisive 3-0 victory over Mexico's Pachuca in the final match, which drew an impressive crowd of 67,249 spectators.

Reflecting on the event, Infantino expressed that Qatar's outstanding organization brought back fond memories of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. He extended his gratitude to the State of Qatar for its meticulous efforts in hosting such a significant tournament. 

Returning to the iconic Lusail Stadium, Infantino praised Real Madrid's performance while also congratulating both teams for their hard work in the final. He highlighted the electric atmosphere created by the fans, noting that their enthusiasm played a key role in the success of the match.
