Doha, Qatar: Qatar has secured the top position in key global governance indicators in the region for 2024, according to data released by the World Bank. The National Planning Council (NPC) announced via its X account that the nation excelled in political stability, scoring 84.36 percent, and rule of law, achieving a rate of 80.19 percent.
The NPC credited Qatar's improved rankings to dedicated efforts in enhancing the global governance index and promoting sustainable development. The World Bank's 2023 data reveals that Qatar attained scores of 81.13 percent in regulatory quality, 85.85 percent in government effectiveness, and 22.55 percent in participation and accountability.
These indicators serve as crucial metrics reflecting the government’s commitment to upholding the principles of good governance, underscoring Qatar's leadership in the region.
