Doha, Qatar: The Kerala Women’s Initiative Qatar (KWIQ) recently hosted its much-anticipated annual event, KWIQ UTSAV 2024, on November 22, 2024, at Ashoka Hall in the Indian Cultural Centre. The event transformed the venue into a vibrant showcase of talent and culture, featuring stunning performances by KWIQ members and children.
With over 200 artists taking the stage, the event celebrated a rich tapestry of music and dance. Reflecting on the success of the occasion, KWIQ President Anju Menon stated, “KWIQ UTSAV 2024 is a platform for our council members and our expression of gratitude to our members for their unwavering support towards our social initiatives.”
The event was honored by Chief Guest Dr. Vaibhav Tandale, First Secretary Indian Embassy and Coordinating Officer of ICC, accompanied by Mrs. Manisha Vaibhav. Dr. Vaibhav applauded the activities conducted by KWIQ enabling women empowerment and confirmed that the Embassy through ICC would strive to build a strong Indian women community. The event also welcomed notable dignitaries, including ICC President Mr. Manikantan A.P., ICBF President Mr. Shahnavas Bava, ICC Vice President Mr. Subramanya Hebbagalu, Ex-ICC President Mrs. Milan Arun and esteemed managing committee members from various apex bodies.
Under the leadership of KWIQ’s Cultural Secretary Sommy Mol Thomas, the program was meticulously organized with the active participation of KWIQ's Patron and Former President Zareena Ahad, Advisory Committee Member Liji Ratheesh, General Secretary Asha Chungath, Vice-President Indulekha Sumesh, Treasurer Lasitha Girish, and managing committee members, Shahina Shamnad, Leena Ollachery, Shehna Faisal, Hamna Azad, Arsha Lineesh, Faseela Abdul Salaam, Ramshida Bin, Shahanas Abdul Salam, Nisha Ishaan, Regina Mohammed, Sabira Nizar and Thankam R. Nath.
