The Qatar Press Center (QPC) convened its eleventh meeting recently, during which the Board of Directors deliberated on various decisions, outlined plans for the upcoming phase, and scheduled future events and activities.
The Board endorsed decisions, events, and seminars aimed at fostering intellectual and media initiatives, with the overarching goal of engaging a diverse cross-section of society. Throughout 2023, the center successfully organized numerous events, seminars, and training courses, coupled with the release of several books. Plans are now in place to extend these activities into 2024.
Board members also explored opportunities for Qatari media professionals to showcase their talents through the center's initiatives, encompassing exhibitions, workshops, seminars, lectures, and other activities aligned with the center's mission.
A noteworthy decision was the establishment of a weekly evening session, envisioned as a platform for networking among colleagues. The proposed schedule was Monday evening following the Maghrib prayer.
The Board scrutinized several proposals and made pertinent decisions, with a pivotal move being the approval to activate the membership system at the Center, extending accessibility to all media members in the State of Qatar.
