Lusail, Qatar: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani performed the Istisqa prayer on Thursday morning at the Lusail prayer ground, joining a large crowd of worshipers in a collective prayer, reviving the Prophetic Sunnah in asking Allah the Almighty for rainfall.

The prayer was attended by notable figures, including the Personal Representative of HH the Amir, HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani, and HE Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa Al Thani. The Speaker of the Shura Council, HE Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, along with several ministers, also participated in the occasion.

Sheikh Dr. Thaqeel Sayer Al Shammari, the Judge of the Court of Cassation and Member of the Supreme Judiciary Council, delivered a sermon following the prayer. He emphasized the importance of seeking forgiveness and engaging in charitable acts as vital steps cause rainfall. Sheikh Al Shammari highlighted water as an indispensable blessing, reminding worshipers of the critical role of supplication in the Istisqa prayer.
