Majestiq Malappuram marks Kerala Piravi Day with cultural festivities in Qatar

Doha, Qatar: Malappuram Jilla Pravasi Association Qatar, known as Majestiq Malappuram, celebrated Kerala Day with vibrant programs on Friday, November 1, at ICC Ashoka Hall. The festivities commenced with the traditional Ona Sadya, followed by an array of musical performances by association members and lively dances by children. Various competitions were organized for both children and adults, with prizes awarded to the winners, adding excitement and engagement for all attendees.


Highlighting the significance of Kerala Day, Mr. Hussain Kadannamanna, the General Secretary of the Qatar Authors Forum, delivered the keynote address. Esteemed guests, including ICBF President Shanavaz Bava, ISC President EP Abdurrahman, and ICC Secretary Abraham Joseph, graced the event. The program was presided over by Majestiq President Nihad, while General Secretary Vinod Puthanveettil welcomed the guests, and Treasurer Jitin Chakoth expressed gratitude through the vote of thanks.




Founded officially on May 31, 2024, Majestiq Malappuram aims to promote the arts, culture, literature, social welfare, education, and commerce of the Malappuram district among expatriates in Qatar. In just a few months, the association has grown to include over 1,000 members, reflecting its strong appeal and dedicated community presence.


Several notable participants contributed to the event’s success, including Sandeep Gopinath, Muneesh, Salman Madathil, Shafi Parakkal, Ashraf Vakayil, Sheetal, Arya Unni, Naufira Hussain, Rafina Majeed, Naseema Shafi, Jhansi Rani, CA Salam, Ashiq Thiroor, Shafeeq Poolakal, Dilshad Melatur, Sujeer, and Abbas Ambadi, whose leadership and involvement enriched the celebrations.
