The ongoing Israeli assault on Lebanon has resulted in a staggering toll, with casualties now reported at 2,464 fatalities and 11,530 injuries, according to a statement from the Lebanese Ministry of Health on Sunday. 

The latest figures indicate that on Saturday, October 19, there were 16 fatalities and 59 injuries recorded, including 11 fatalities and 27 injuries in southern Lebanon, 5 fatalities and 23 injuries in Nabatieh, and 9 wounded in Beqaa Governorate.

Since October 2023, Lebanon has faced relentless attacks, with Israel recently escalating its airstrikes and artillery shelling targeting Beirut. This intensified offensive has not only led to the deaths and injuries of thousands of Lebanese citizens but has also displaced over a million people from their homes, adding to the humanitarian crisis in the region.
