On Saturday, an Israeli attack on northern Gaza's town of Beit Lahiya resulted in the loss of 87 lives and left more than 40 people wounded, according to the Palestinian enclave's health ministry.
The Israeli military has stated that they are investigating the incident, which has led to one of the highest casualty tolls in recent months.
Gaza's health ministry reported that rescue efforts were being impeded by communication challenges and the ongoing Israeli military operation in the vicinity near the border with Israel.
