Doha, Qatar: In a dramatic conclusion to the 4th edition of the ASTER D.M.H. Presents Chaliyar Cup All India Sevens Football Tournament, Orbit FC claimed victory over Friday FIFA Manjeri in a nail-biting penalty shootout (3-2) after a goalless draw in regular play. Organized by Chaliyar Doha, the tournament showcased exceptional performances, with Orbit FC’s Suhail Jopan earning the Golden Boot for his five goals, presented by Chaliyar Doha Chief Advisor Zameel Abdul Vahid. Salman Khaleel of Orbit FC was awarded the Golden Ball for the tournament’s best player by Founder President V.C. Mashhood, while the Golden Glove for the best goalkeeper went to Rashid of Orbit FC, presented by Vice President Jabir Beypore.

Edavanna, Treasurer Abdul Azeez Cheruvannur, and Aster Healthcare Head of
Marketing and Branding, Sumit Badra. Shaukatali T.A.J., Managing Director of
Marine Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Company, presented the winners’ prize
money of QAR 3,501, while Abdul Manaf P.K., Managing Director of Gallop
Shipping and Logistics, awarded the runners-up prize money of QAR 2,501 to
Friday FIFA Manjeri. Stable Phone Malabar FC, the second runners-up, received
QAR 1,501 sponsored by Fry D Fried and Grills, presented by Advisory Board
Member Siddique Vazhakad.
The
grand finale was inaugurated by Indian Embassy First Secretary-Labor and
Community, Eash Singal, with Khalid Fakhroo of Qatar Energy serving as the
Chief Guest. Key dignitaries included ICC President Manikandan, ICBF President
Shanavas Bava, ISC General Secretary Nihadali, and Chaliyar Doha Founder Member
Hyder Chunkathara. Representatives from ZedEx Cargo, RAG Holidays, Grand Mall,
Car House, and Able Group, among others, also attended. Women’s Wing President
Muhsina Zameel and other prominent figures such as Akbar Vazhakad and Abdu
Rahoof Kondotty added to the grandeur of the occasion.
Radio Suno jockeys Ashtami and Sandeep hosted the thrilling event, which also featured an exciting U-14 exhibition match where Blasters Academy defeated Universal Sports Center in a penalty shootout.
