This follows their recent meeting with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on September 4 in New Delhi, which sparked speculation about their political ambitions.

Their entry into Congress is seen as a significant move that could strengthen the party's position in the state. Some Haryana Congress leaders had expressed reservations about a potential alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), making the inclusion of these high-profile sports figures a timely boost.
