Doha, Qatar: Under the auspices of the Ministry of Municipality represented by the Agricultural Affairs Department, and in cooperation with Hassad Food Company, the inaugural "Umm Salal Winter Festival" is set to kick off on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the Umm Salal Central Market.

This winter festival will run until February 19, 2025, featuring a variety of events and exhibitions aimed at promoting local products.

The festival seeks to provide a vital marketing platform for local producers throughout the winter season, supporting the agricultural community in the region.

Yousef Khalid Al Khulaift, Director of the Agricultural Affairs Department at the Ministry of Municipality, emphasized the festival's goal to assist local farmers by enhancing product quality and increasing production efficiency. He stated, "The launch of Umm Salal Winter Festival aims to support local farm owners and provide guidance to farmers to enhance the quality of local products as well as achieve efficiency in production, in addition to increase the economic return to farm owners."
