According to an official, the Qatar Digital Identity (QDI) app is designed to consolidate digital identification and official documents for individuals, streamlining access to these resources.

First Lieutenant Abdulrahman Abdullah Jamal, an officer in the Electronic Services and Internet Department at the General Directorate of Communications and Information Systems within the Ministry of Interior, stated, "The future plan is to incorporate all documents and certificates, as well as financial receipts submitted by individuals, into the QDI app. This will enable users to access all their official documents through a single application."

In a recent interview with Qatar TV, Jamal highlighted that the QDI app allows both citizens and residents to view various digital cards and utilize electronic services provided by the Ministry of Interior. Furthermore, the objective is to integrate all cards from different ministries and authorities into one comprehensive application.
