Ratan Tata, the chairman emeritus of Tata Sons and one of India's most respected industrialists, passed away at the age of 86 on Wednesday, October 9. According to an official statement from Tata Group, the former Tata Sons chairman breathed his last at a hospital in Mumbai, where he was receiving treatment in the intensive care unit. His health had been a subject of concern over the past week, despite earlier reassurances that his hospitalization was due to routine medical checkups related to his age and health conditions.
