Qatar’s Abdulaziz Al Kuwari achieved his first FIA Middle East Rally Championship (MERC) title, while his fellow countryman Nasser Saleh Al Attiyah celebrated his ninth overall victory at this esteemed event. 

Al Kuwari, along with his co-driver Nasser Al Kuwari, secured third place at the Cyprus Rally in their Skoda Fabia RS, culminating in a stylish title win. 

The duo arrived in Cyprus with a substantial lead, needing only to complete the rally to make history as the fifth Qatari driver to claim the MERC title, joining the ranks of Saeed Al Hajri, Hamad bin Eid Al Thani, Misfer Al Marri, and Al Attiyah.
