Typhoon Yagi hit northern Vietnam, claiming the lives of 141 individuals, with 59 others reported missing. The devastation caused by the typhoon led to landslides and floods in the region.

Local authorities in Vietnam confirmed the destruction of the Le River Dam in Quyet Thang commune, attributing it to the dangerously high water levels. Moreover, the capital city of Hanoi faced a looming threat as the water level of the Hong (Red) River surpassed the second warning level set by the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting.

The situation is dire, with forecasts indicating that the river is on track to reach its highest warning level, sparking concerns for the safety of residents in the affected areas.
