Qatar recognized as 'model' country in Global Cybersecurity 2024 Index

Doha, Qatar: The National Cybersecurity Agency (NCSA) of Qatar has announced a significant achievement for the nation, as it has been designated a "model" country in the Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI) 2024.


This classification was revealed in a report released on September 13, by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) of the United Nations.


Qatar's recognition comes as a result of its exceptional performance across several key areas essential for national cybersecurity, including legal frameworks, technical measures, regulatory standards, capacity development, and international cooperation. The country received perfect scores in all five pillars, showcasing its unwavering commitment to bolstering cybersecurity both domestically and globally.


This accomplishment highlights Qatar's proactive approach in developing robust cybersecurity strategies and reinforces its role as a leader in fostering a secure digital landscape.
