DOHA:
The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has announced that registration for
the 2025 Haj season will open on Sunday, September 22, 2024, for citizens and
expatriates, continuing until October 22, 2024. The electronic raffle will take
place after the registration phase, with approvals sent to applicants in
November. The early registration aims to allow Haj operators to complete
contracts and improve services for Qatar’s pilgrims.
Director
of the Department of Haj and Umrah, Ali bin Sultan Al Misifri, stated that
Qatar’s Haj quota for 2025 is 4,400 pilgrims. Qatari applicants must be at
least 18 years old, while Gulf citizens and expatriates must be 45 or older, with
a minimum residency of 15 years. Companions should be registered in the same
application to avoid complications.
The Ministry will provide a video guide on the registration process via social media. There are 27 licensed Haj operators in Qatar, and inquiries or complaints can be directed to the Haj and Umrah Affairs Department hotline (132) during official working hours.
