DOHA:
Minister of Industry and Commerce of Rajasthan, H E Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore,
emphasized the strong and longstanding relations between Doha and India during
the Rising Rajasthan Investment Meet at Sheraton Doha. He invited Qatari
investors and residents to explore investment opportunities in Rajasthan, highlighting
the state’s vibrant sectors including tourism, logistics, real estate, and
agriculture.
Rathore
noted that Rajasthan offers significant potential in the logistics industry
with one of the largest road and rail networks in India, and is a key player in
India’s agriculture and food processing sector. He also mentioned the state's
11% GDP growth in FY 2023, driven by sectors such as agri-processing,
petrochemicals, textiles, and industrial parks.
Indian Ambassador to Qatar, H E Vipul, underscored the solid trade ties between India and Qatar, highlighting the long-term LNG agreement for 7.5 million tons annually from Qatar to India. He expressed optimism that the Rising Rajasthan Summit in December 2024 will strengthen business commitments between Qatar and Rajasthan.
