His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with Canada's Prime Minister His Excellency Justin Trudeau today at the House of Commons in Ottawa. 

Prime Minister Trudeau warmly welcomed the Amir and his delegation, expressing hope that the visit would further strengthen bilateral relations across various sectors and explore new opportunities for collaboration.

In response, the Amir extended his gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality offered by the Canadian government. He emphasized Qatar's commitment to enhancing cooperation in multiple fields, aiming to contribute to regional and global stability and peace.

The discussions between the leaders focused on key areas such as investment, economic collaboration, and international cooperation. They also addressed the pressing situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, along with other regional and international developments of mutual concern.

The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, and Chief of the Amiri Diwan His Excellency Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, and other officials were also present at the meeting.
