M.E.S Indian School celebrates 78th Independence Day with traditional gaiety and fervor

Doha, Qatar: M.E.S Indian School celebrated the 78th Independence Day of India with a vibrant and patriotic ceremony held at the school's Conference Hall. The event was marked by a blend of traditional delight and a deep sense of national pride.




The celebration commenced with the Chief Guest, Mr. Kashif Jaleel, President Officiating of the M.E.S Governing Board, unfurling the Indian National Flag. This was followed by a soulful rendition of the National Anthem by the school choir, filling the hall with a patriotic spirit.


In her address, the school Principal, Dr. Hameeda Kadar, emphasized the importance of being grateful to the architects of the nation. She remarked, “As citizens, we need to be grateful to our nation’s architects, who formulated an exemplary constitution of India through their unflinching efforts and sacrifices that steered the nation towards incredible progress and development.”


Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, the students of M.E.S Indian School presented a patriotic song that beautifully depicted the glory of India. The Head Girl, Miss Sheza Fathima, and the Head Boy, Master Ahmed Faisal, played key roles in the program by welcoming the gathering and proposing a vote of thanks, respectively.


The event was skillfully compered by Mrs. Hajeera Kauser, a member of the teaching faculty, while Mrs. Shabreena Hyder and the school cultural coordinators meticulously organized the program, ensuring its success.


The Independence Day celebrations were attended by Mr. Hazmal Ismail, General Secretary of the M.E.S School Governing Board, along with the Principal, Senior Vice Principal, key functionaries of the teaching and non-teaching staff, parents, and students, all of whom came together to honor the spirit of independence and unity.
