According to the health ministry in the Hamas-run
Gaza Strip, at least 30 people and over 100 injured after an Israeli air strike
hit a school housing in Deir el-Balah, in central Gaza.
The ministry said in a statement that “A short
while ago, the targeting of Khadija school, which had a field medical unit
inside it, in Deir el-Balah area, resulted in 30 martyrs and more than 100
wounded.”
The United Nations' humanitarian aid agency
reports that numerous Palestinians are currently stranded in eastern Khan
Younis, facing severe hostilities. Regrettably, rescue operations are impeded
as the Israeli military has denied access to these individuals.
The death toll in Gaza has tragically risen to
39,258, with an additional 90,589 individuals reported injured since October
7th.
