The Qatari national basketball team secured a convincing victory against India, defeating them 69-53 in a match held on Friday at the Nehru Hall. 

This win marks Qatar's first triumph in the second qualifiers of Group Five for the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup finals, which are set to take place in Saudi Arabia.

The game showcased Qatari dominance across all four quarters, with scores of 17-14, 19-17, 14-8, and 19-14 in their favor. The standout performances came from the talented trio of Tyler Harris, Mike Lewis, and Babacar Dieng. Both Harris and Lewis led the scoring with 17 points each, while Dieng contributed 13 points, playing crucial roles in controlling the match.

Under the guidance of new Turkish coach Hakan Demir, the Qatari team demonstrated impressive teamwork and strategy, paving the way for what they hope will be a successful qualifying campaign.
