Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior has revealed a criminal network dedicated to smuggling drugs into the Kingdom via Al Jawf International Airport. Acting on credible intelligence, authorities successfully arrested several individuals connected to this operation.
Among those apprehended were nine Saudi citizens, which included one from the Ministry of Interior, four from the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, and one from the Saudi Electricity Company.
These individuals played various criminal roles, such as receiving the smuggled drugs, bringing them into the Kingdom concealed in luggage without proper inspection, and transporting them. Additionally, the suspects hid the narcotics in different locations and residences while engaging in their promotion and trade.
