Doha, Qatar: The Geneva International Motor Show is gearing up to unveil a captivating exhibition at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC). This showcase, known as the Classics Gallery, promises an exquisite selection of historically significant heritage cars that will leave enthusiasts, collectors, and classic car buyers in awe. From the iconic Amiri cars to even a rare Popemobile, this meticulously curated collection will be an integral part of the overall motor show experience.
GIMS Qatar is scheduled to take place from October 5 to 14, 2023, and will open to the public on October 7. The Classics Gallery will feature a collection of exotic and exceptional historic automobiles, including Best of Show winners from prestigious concours d’elegance events. Furthermore, the exhibition will shine a spotlight on cars with Qatari heritage and lineage.
Sheikha Hessa Al Thani, Head of Marketing and Planning at Qatar Tourism, expressed, “The rich tapestry of the world’s automotive heritage, including that of Qatar, will converge at the prestigious Classics Gallery, which is set to become a standout attraction at the upcoming Geneva International Motor Show Qatar.
The main exhibition will host 30 renowned automotive brands, including Toyota, Lexus, Porsche, Volkswagen, Lamborghini, KIA, Audi, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, Vinfast, Chery, and many more. GIMS Qatar aims to showcase the latest industry innovations, with over 10 world premieres and 20 regional premieres.
In addition to the main exhibition, visitors can look forward to four immersive experiences taking place across some of Qatar's prominent tourism destinations. These experiences include a “Future Design Forum” at the National Museum of Qatar, thrilling offroad adventures at Sealine, exhilarating ride-and-drive experiences at the Lusail International Circuit, and a grand parade of automotive excellence along the iconic Lusail Boulevard.
