Doha, Qatar: To promote local craftsmanship, Minister of Transport HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Thani officially opened the Al Yezwa market at Al-Ruwais Port today. The inauguration was attended by several senior officials from Mwani Qatar and various organizations operating within the country.
Spanning an impressive 930 square meters, Al Yezwa market is designed to blend authenticity with modern aesthetics. The market features multiple shops dedicated to the production of a wide range of handicraft products, including saffron, textiles, gemstone and silver works, as well as traditional ships, pots, leather, and copper handicrafts. The initiative aims to provide a marketing platform for artisans, fostering their work while offering visitors a unique shopping experience intertwined with cultural heritage.
