Doha, Qatar: Registration for a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting local production and subsidizing sheep meat prices during this year's Eid Al Adha will be open from May 9 to May 30, as announced by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
This initiative, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipality, underscores a commitment to nurturing and assisting livestock breeders and farm owners to bolster domestic sheep production and safeguard Qatar's economic and commercial landscape.
The initiative aims to establish an equilibrium
between supply and demand, thereby fostering market price stability and
ensuring citizens' access to reasonably priced meat. Breeders have the option
to register electronically or through governmental service centers across the
nation and may direct their queries to the Ministry of Municipality's customer
service contact center.
