Doha, Qatar: The Department of Meteorology has issued a weather report indicating that conditions inshore until 6 PM on Saturday will start hazy before transitioning to relatively cold during the day, with clouds expected to increase. As nighttime approaches, temperatures are predicted to drop to cold and very cold levels.
According to a post on X, the Sudanthile station recorded the lowest temperature this morning at a chilly 9°C, while the capital, Doha, saw temperatures at 15°C.
For offshore weather, the report predicts partly cloudy skies with a chance of scattered rain at times. However, it also warns of strong winds and high sea conditions. Inshore winds are expected to be northwesterly at speeds of 8 to 18 knots, gusting up to 25 knots in certain areas during the day. Offshore winds will range from 10 to 20 knots, also gusting to 25 knots at times.
The sea state inshore will be between 2 to 4 feet, rising to 5 feet at times, while offshore, conditions may reach heights of 3 to 6 feet, potentially rising to 8 feet. Visibility is forecasted to be between 4 to 10 kilometers inshore and 5 to 10 kilometers offshore.
