Doha, Qatar: The ‘Hour and Hour’ programme, in collaboration with the Qatar Cancer Society (QCS), the Women’s Police Institute, and the Health Care Foundation, hosted a breast cancer awareness event as part of Pink October under the slogan “A Window of Hope.” The event, held under the patronage of Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Jabr Al Thani, aimed to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection, with a special focus on women’s health.

Al Yafei, CEO of the Hour and Hour programme, emphasized that this slogan will
be carried forward in future health events. The event featured an awareness
discussion session titled “Hope Session,” with prominent speakers, including
Lieutenant Colonel Kholoud Anbar Al Nuaimi and breast cancer survivor Aisha Al
Tamimi, sharing insights on prevention and personal experiences with the
disease.
An accompanying art exhibition showcased inspiring works by female artists who had recovered from breast cancer, along with contributions from students of Al Khor Model School for Boys and Al Dhakira Primary School for Girls. The event aimed to instill hope in women facing the disease, highlighting that recovery is possible through treatment and resilience.
