Doha, Qatar: Hamad Medical Corporation's (HMC) Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DLMP) has achieved Green and Sustainable Medical Laboratories certification from the European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (ELM). 

This remarkable achievement marks HMC's laboratories as the first in the Middle East and outside Europe to obtain such a prestigious certification.

The DLMP has a strong history of international recognition, having previously earned accreditations from esteemed organizations, including the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), the Joint Commission International (JCI), and the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI).

In pursuit of sustainability, HMC's DLMP sought the Green Labs certification to further enhance its commitment to environmentally friendly practices, aligning with Qatar's Third National Development Strategy, which advocates for a sustainable and eco-conscious future.
