TJSV shines with a commanding 2-0 win against Palakkad

Doha, Qatar: TJSV became the first team to enter the semi-finals of the Mediaone-QIFF Super Cup 2024, presented by Western Union–City Exchange, after a decisive 2-0 victory against Palakkad in the first quarter-final match.

The opening goal came in the 22nd minute when an indirect free kick inside the penalty box was tactfully set up by Rahul (Jersey No. 25) and converted with a powerful shot by Antony (Jersey No. 6). TJSV sealed their lead in the 31st minute with a clinical strike by Sanjay (Jersey No. 19), who later earned the Man of the Match title for his outstanding performance.

Palakkad fought valiantly and showed impressive form despite their inability to score.

KMCC Malappuram triumphs over MAK Kozhikode with a resounding 3-0 victory

In the second quarter-final, KMCC Malappuram delivered a commanding performance in the second quarter-final, defeating MAK Kozhikode 3-0 to secure their spot in the semi-finals.

The match began with an early goal in the 5th minute by Alisaf (Jersey No. 14). Malappuram extended their lead in the 24th minute with back-to-back goals from Afzal (Jersey No. 9) and Faslu (Jersey No. 22).

Afzal’s brilliant display earned him the Man of the Match award, highlighting an outstanding team effort.

With this victory, both TJSV and KMCC Malappuram advance to the semi-finals, promising thrilling battles ahead.
