Sanju Samson (111 off 47 balls) and Suryakumar Yadav (75 off 35 balls) unleashed a spectacular batting display to guide India to a comprehensive 133-run victory over Bangladesh in the third and final T20I at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on Saturday. India posted a mammoth total of 297 for six, their highest-ever in T20Is and the second highest in the format's history, securing a 3-0 clean sweep in the series.
The
Samson-Suryakumar duo put on a blistering 173-run stand off just 70 balls for
the second wicket, tearing apart the Bangladesh bowling attack. Samson smashed
his maiden T20I century off just 40 balls, the second-fastest by an Indian,
while Suryakumar entertained the crowd with his trademark scoops and innovative
strokes. Despite brief cameos from Riyan Parag (34 off 13) and Hardik Pandya
(47 off 18), Bangladesh's bowlers struggled to find any control.
In reply, Bangladesh never got going, faltering to 164 for seven, with Towhid Hridoy (63 not out off 42) and Litton Das (42 off 25) offering lone resistance. Ravi Bishnoi's three-wicket haul ensured a dominant finish for India, as the hosts completed their T20I and Test series victories in emphatic fashion.
