Doha, Qatar: The 'Rig 1938' tower has made headlines by securing two entries in the Guinness Book of Records, claiming the titles of the world's tallest water slide tower at an impressive height of 76.309 meters, and the first of its kind to feature 12 thrilling water slides.
During a press conference, Sheikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, General Manager and Chairman of Qetaifan Projects Company, emphasized that the tower offers an extraordinary experience that bolsters Qatar's reputation as a premier global tourist destination. He described the tower as not merely an entertainment venue but also a representation of Qatari culture and a promoter of creativity.
Standing at a total height of 85 meters, the architectural marvel is inspired by Qatar's rich history in oil and gas discovery. Designed with the highest safety standards in mind, it caters to visitors of all ages, ensuring an enjoyable experience for everyone.
Located in the vibrant heart of Meryal City, which spans 281,000 square meters, the tower is part of one of the largest water parks in the region, boasting 36 innovative water attractions.
