Doha, Qatar: Qatar Airways Cargo has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Japan Airlines, aimed at enhancing their existing partnership and expanding product offerings for air cargo customers. This strategic agreement will facilitate smoother movement of goods between the two carriers, building on the recent launch of daily passenger flights from Tokyo Haneda Airport to Hamad International Airport in Doha by Japan Airlines.
The MoU marks a significant milestone in the long-standing collaboration between Qatar Airways Cargo and Japan Airlines' cargo division (JALCARGO), both of which are members of the "oneworld" airline alliance. The initiative is set to deliver improved services to cargo customers while achieving operational synergies.
The agreement was signed by Qatar Airways Cargo CEO Mark Drusch and Japan Airlines Executive Officer Yuichiro Kito, who is also the Senior Vice President and Head of Cargo and Mail. The signing took place in the presence of Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer Eng. Bad Mohammed Al Meer.
