Doha, Qatar: The Doha Film Institute (DFI) has opened registrations for the 2024 Ajyal Volunteer Programme, inviting residents aged 18 and above to be part of the dynamic team that brings the Ajyal Film Festival to life. Taking place from November 16-23, 2024, the festival offers volunteers a unique chance to contribute to one of the region’s most significant cultural events, while connecting with like-minded individuals from diverse backgrounds. Hassan Al Remaihi, Festival Director and CEO of DFI, highlighted the importance
of volunteers, noting that their dedication and hard work are vital to the
success of the festival. Al Remaihi described the programme as more than just a
way to support the festival; it is a platform for young people to develop
confidence, acquire new skills, and grow as active community members.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to engage in various aspects of the festival, including venue operations, guest services, and transportation. In recognition of their efforts, all volunteers will receive a certificate of appreciation. The Ajyal Film Festival will feature a wide range of global cinema, the popular Made in Qatar programme, and a multimedia exhibition, with more details to be announced soon.
