Doha, Qatar: In preparation for the grand celebration of Padma Shri Hariharan's 50-year career in ghazal singing, a welcoming committee for Bemisal music event has been formed. The golden jubilee event is set to take place on Friday, October 11, at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC), marking a significant milestone in the legendary artist's career.

The committee, comprising representatives from various regional organizations in Qatar, was officially formed during a ceremony held at Zatar Restaurant. The team aims to ensure the success of the event, which goes beyond a musical evening, celebrating the life and legacy of one of India's most cherished singers.

Key members of the organizing committee include Sharaf P. Hameed (Chairman), Dr. Abdul Samad (Vice Chairman), Ashiq Ahmad (General Convener), Ravi Shankar (Finance Controller), and Neelangshu Dey (Chief Patron), alongside several other prominent members such as Shanavas Bava, KM Varghese, and Mohammad Issa.

The event will also see participation from a large support team that will handle various logistical and organizational tasks. Members include Srinivasan, Venkappa, Kausar, Lakshmi, Femina, and many others who will manage different departments of the event.

Bemisal will premiere its first international performance in Qatar on 11 October 2024. Tickets, priced between 50 and 1,000 Qatari Riyals, are available for purchase. The official ticket launch is scheduled for Friday, September 20, at ICC Ashoka Hall, with a musical concert featuring performances by Veeth Rag, Mohammad Niyaz, and Nafla Sajid.
